How To Activate Facebook Acccount

A time may come when your Facebook account is either disabled or locked, and  you will be wondering what to do next. Its possible that your Facebook account was disabled by you or someone else. But if your account was deactivated by Facebook, then you will have to submit an appeal to the company.


Know however that depending on the reason for the deactivation of your account, Facebook may never Activate it. The only option, in that case is to create a new account and forget the old one.If your account has been disabled by Facebook, you’ll see a special message when you try to log in.

 Facebook may deactivate an account for any of the following reasons:

  1. Making use of a fake name
  2. Impersonating someone
  3. Posting content that does not follow the Facebook Terms and Conditions
  4. Continuing behavior that is not allowed on Facebook by violating Community Standards
  5. Contacting other people for harassment, unsolicited advertising, promoting, dating or other conduct that is not allowed.

If you are guilty of any of these actions, then it is time to check if your account has been locked. Go to Facebook and log in using your username and password. From there, if your account has been disabled, then you 'll see 'Account disabled.'  If you think your account was disabled by mistake, you can file an appeal on Facebook.

How to fill an Appeal Form

  • Open Facebook account disabled appeal form
  • Fill out the following details:
  1. The Email Address you use to log in Facebook.
  2. Your Contact Email Address.
  3. Your Full Name.
  4. Your Date of Birth.
  5. If you have any government issued ID's e.g., Drivers license, submit them in JPEG format. You can do this either by scanning the document or taking a photograph from your mobile. This will help Facebook to identify your identity and gives about 60% more chances for your account to get reactivated quickly.
 Finally, add details of your appeal in the “Additional info” section, and you are good to go from there. If you feel that you have gone against any of Facebook policies, Explain it in detail at "additional information" and request politely it was your mistake and is not intentional. Admitting to your mistake may convince the team and they may enable the disabled Facebook account

Now, you'll have to wait for a response from Facebook about the possibility of returning your account to normal. It may or may not happen, so keep your fingers crossed  and hope for the best.
