When you post a Facebook status, you can choose to specify where you are and what you're doing. If you're at a park, a store or at any other location, you can tag your location, and if you're at an event like a movie, you can add a Fb movie status or a status stating what you're doing. If you intend to show your location with every status update, there are just a few things you should do. You can add your location to a post to tell people you're at a specific place, like your home or a restaurant
1. Update your current city from your profile
Make sure that your current city is updated on your profile and it is set to public. To do this,
On mobile, go to Profile and select Edit profile. Under Edit profile click on Edit Details.
Type in the current city and Pick it when it appears. This part is important.
On mobile, go to Profile and click on Edit profile. Under Edit profile select Edit Details and click on Current city.Delete your current city or set the permission to “Only me.”
After this is done, Facebook should no longer update your status with your location.

Removing your location from your Facebook status updates
If you need to remove your location from your Facebook status updates and photos, you should only do two things:
