Liking” someone’s Facebook status does several things. First, it puts your name under the status, showing viewers that you liked it. Second, it sends a notification to whoever posted the status. Third, if another user posts or likes the Facebook status, you’ll also receive notifications.
Remove the like from someone else’s status update if you clicked the “Like” button by mistake or want to remove it for another reason. You can also remove your own status updates from your timeline, even if another user has liked it.
