Facebook allows you to create a group to discuss topics and share information in a more private setting. Facebook began to revamp its groups in 2010, to add additional features and modify others, with the goal of all Facebook groups eventually being transferred to the new layout. Original Facebook groups used invites as a means of adding members.
As of September 2011, there were still groups that are scheduled to be archived because of inactivity or the unwillingness of an administrator to move to the new layout. These groups continue to have invitation options.

1. Log into Facebook and navigate to the "Friends" tab on the left side of the news feed. It will contain all of your friend and group requests, if applicable.
2. Choose "Not Now" next to the group's request you want to remove.
3. Choose "See Hidden Requests" at the bottom of the page. You may need to refresh your browser for this to appear.
4. Click "Delete" next to the groups invitation to remove it from your Facebook profile entirely.
